Returns

I hope you’ll love your purchases from Escape the Ordinary, however if you are unhappy with a purchase and would like to return your item/s you can. You can return your item/s within 30 days from the date you received them.

Before returning, please email me at escapetheordinary.retford@gmail.com, with the following details: name, address, reason for return and date you received your item. At Escape the Ordinary I don’t currently provide a free returns service. Any returns needs to be sent back to the following address Escape the Ordinary – Returns, Unit 2, 18 Bridgegate, Retford, Notts, DN22 6AA. Please make sure you send any goods back safely. I recommend you use a tracked delivery service, as the items remain your responsibility until they arrive back to me. Delivery charges are non – refundable unless you are returning a damaged product.

Items must be returned with all the relevant product tags attached along with the original packaging. The product must be in an unworn and unwashed condition. It’s fine for you to try an item on like you would in a shop, but please don’t wear it or wash it. I cannot accept returns for any item that has been worn, marked or damaged (unless faulty). This includes but is not limited to make-up, deodorant or perfume, pet hair or dander, cigarette smoke, food spillages etc. All items are inspected on their return. Once your items are checked and can accept them to be returned, please allow 10 working days for your refund to be processed. This is from the date your parcel arrived back to me and does not include weekends and bank holidays.

Returning an online order to store:

You can return any online and click and collect purchases you are unhappy with into store for free. Items must be returned within 30 days of receiving them and must be returned with a valid despatch note.

Non-returnable items:

For health and safety reasons the following items cannot be returned.

  • Hair dye

  • Hosiery

  • Face masks

  • Pierced earrings and body jewellery

 

Faulty/damaged items:

I do take great care in checking over all my stock as soon as it arrives to my boutique. If unfortunately, your item/s have arrived broken damaged or defective, please email me with some photos alongside your name, address, date you received your item. Delivery charges will be refunded if you are returning a damaged item. A replacement or a refund will be issued when the item has been returned to me. Alternatively, they can be returned back to my boutique if you are local to Retford.
